DIRECTOR OF EVENTS & HUMAN RIGHTS
Pernille Madsen, affectionately known as Mila, holds a BA degree in Business and a Master's degree in International Human Rights Law from the University of London. She has resided in Portugal, Thailand, Denmark, Brazil, Australia, Namibia, Sweden, and Serbia, where she witnessed the human potential of creation and transformation when cooperation, culture, and diversity are valued. Following a successful decade-long career in the hospitality industry where she, amongst other projects, launched the first 5-star hotel in Sydney's 'SoHo' (Surry Hills) district, Mila redirected her attention to human rights issues in sub-Saharan Africa. From her base in Namibia, she collaborated with ten African nations in combatting discrimination against marginalized populations. Mila’s research endeavors aim to uncover solutions for a happier and more sustainable world, working closely with artistic productions to promote her cause. Currently, Mila promotes the movement Compassion in Politics in Brazil, and is a faculty member of the MBA in Direct Diplomacy.
